Remanufactured steering gear box built by Red-Head Steering Gears (Auburn, WA) to OEM specifications, backed by a full 12-month/unlimited-mileage warranty. Fits 1980-1991 Chevrolet or GMC Pickup Trucks, Suburban's, Blazer's or Jimmy's.
Pinch-Bolt Output, 4-Turn Ratio: This steering gear has a notch in the output shaft, which indirectly turns the tires — a pinch bolt style is used to connect it to the pitman arm. The 4-Turn ratio is recommended for off-roading or vehicles running tires 37" or larger, giving more leverage when steering. If your output shaft is threaded instead (nut-and-washer pitman arm connection), you need SKU 2856-4T. The standard 3-Turn ratio of this gear is available under SKU 2858.
