Rear Disc Brake Conversion Kit - 5-Lug, 10in Drum | 1988-2000 Chevy/GMC C1500

Finally, a rear disc brake conversion that doesn't break the bank. This bolt-on kit brings modern stopping power to 1988-1999 Chevy/GMC C1500 pickups and 1992-2000 C1500-based SUVs (Blazer, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Denali) running light-duty 5-lug rear ends with 10" drum axles.

Installation is refreshingly simple: no welding, and you don't even need to pull the axle shafts. Everything bolts to your existing housing using factory mounting points, so a Saturday afternoon in the driveway is all it takes to leave drum brakes behind for good. Every serviceable part in the kit is also sold individually down the road, so keeping this system running for the long haul is cheap and easy.

• Rotors — choose smooth or drilled/slotted
• Caliper brackets and all mounting hardware
• Choice of non-parking-brake calipers, parking-brake-capable calipers (black or red), or Wilwood calipers (black or red)

Caliper Selection

If you need to retain functional parking brakes, choose one of the parking-brake-capable caliper options — Wilwood calipers are not parking-brake capable, so they're best suited for trucks where the parking brake is handled elsewhere or isn't a priority.

Before you order: this kit is specifically for 10" drum axle flanges — even if your truck is listed above, verify your axle has the 10" drum (not the heavy-duty 11" drum) by measuring the flange at the back side of the drum before ordering. Will fit inside most (but not all) 15" wheels — if a caliper lightly contacts the wheel barrel, a little sanding on the contact point usually clears it right up.
