A straightforward, no-drama way to drop the front end of your heavy-duty C2500 or C3500 by a clean 1" - enough to knock down that factory nose-high look without touching ride quality or ground clearance you actually need for towing and hauling. These are direct replacement coil springs engineered by McGaughys specifically for the OBS 3/4-ton and 1-ton platform, not a generic spring squeezed into a listing.

Because these heavy-duty trucks carry different spring rates depending on whether you've got a 350 small block or a 454 big block under the hood, McGaughys builds this spring to match your engine weight so the front end sits level side-to-side and doesn't sag unevenly over time. We've broken out Regular Cab and Extended/Crew Cab options too, since cab length changes front weight bias slightly on these longer OBS trucks.

Installation is a standard coil spring swap - compress the factory spring with a proper spring compressor, pull the old one, drop the new McGaughys spring in, and reassemble. Any competent home mechanic with the right tools can knock this out in an afternoon, though we always recommend having it done by someone experienced with spring compression given the stored energy involved.

This is a great starting point if you want a subtle, factory-plus stance, or as the front half of a larger drop combo when paired with our rear drop kits, shackles, or axle flip kits. Unlike a full lowering kit, a straight spring swap keeps your factory spindle geometry intact, meaning alignment settings stay closer to stock and there's less to second-guess.

Built for daily-driver durability, these springs won't sag out or lose their rate over time the way cheap universal-fit springs will. If you're running a work truck that still needs to carry a load in the bed or tow a trailer on weekends, this mild 1" drop is the sweet spot between looks and function.
