Match your big front brake upgrade with real stopping power out back using this 16 inch rear C6 big brake kit, designed and machined in-house specifically for GM trucks and SUVs equipped with the tough 14-bolt rear axle, 1973-1999. This kit uses 6-piston calipers and includes drilled and slotted rotors plus an internal drum-style parking brake assembly, so you never sacrifice functional parking brake capability on your Chevy or GMC.

Because the 14-bolt axle has shipped in so many different configurations over the decades, start by identifying your exact axle style: single rear wheel semi-float in either 3.6 inch or 5.1 inch offset, single rear wheel full-float with a slip-on or press-on drum, or dual rear wheel. Use our axle identification guide if you're not sure which one you have, and verify your flange dimensions and axle offset (semi-float only) against the reference diagrams before ordering.

Choose between a standard manual parking brake setup or upgrade to a full electronic parking brake retrofit kit for a more modern, push-button parking brake experience on your Chevy or GMC - a popular choice for guys doing a late-model interior swap. Add machined semi wheel adapters if you need additional track width (increases track width .750 inch per side), and upgrade to braided stainless steel hoses in place of factory rubber lines for firmer, more consistent pedal feel. Finish off your order by choosing your caliper finish: standard MFG calipers in black or red, or a custom MFG powdercoat color to match your truck's paint (allow 4-5 weeks, enter your OEM paint code in the order comments, no tri-coat or kandy finishes).

Wheel size requirement: this kit fits most 20 inch wheels.

This kit pairs with our 16 inch front C6 or TC6 big brake kits for whichever GM 2500/3500 series truck you're building, whether it's a Chevy C3500 dually or a GMC K2500.
