For a deeper 4"-7" rear drop on your C2500 or C3500 - the kind of setup you'll see on a deluxe drop kit or a more aggressive flip/notch combo - this DS-2 rear shock is valved and length-matched for that specific range. Running a shock built for a mild rear drop on a 4"-7" setup leaves you with almost no usable travel and a rough, disconnected ride; this shock is dimensioned correctly from the start.

DS-2's twin-tube design delivers controlled, predictable damping that keeps a heavier 3/4-ton or 1-ton rear end in check without turning every pothole into a jarring event. Because it's built specifically for this deeper drop range on the OBS heavy-duty platform, compressed and extended lengths are dialed in for your ride height rather than approximated.

Direct bolt-in at factory or relocated shock mounting points - no cutting, no fabrication. If your build includes a rear axle flip kit, de-arched leaf springs, or a hanger/shackle combination that lands you in the 4"-7" rear drop range, this is the shock that's actually engineered for your setup instead of a generic stand-in.

For best results, pair with the matching DS-2 front shock so your damping character is consistent front to rear - a truck that's dialed in up front but mismatched out back (or vice versa) will always feel unbalanced no matter how good the individual components are. Matching shocks front and rear is one of the cheapest, easiest upgrades to get a dropped truck riding the way it should.

Simple bolt-on installation, typically 20-30 minutes per side with basic hand tools. Built for real-world daily driving and hauling duty on a properly dropped heavy-duty OBS truck.
