If you're running a more aggressive 4"-5" front drop on your C2500 or C3500 - whether that's from a deluxe spindle kit or a stacked spring/spindle combo - your shock needs matched length and valving for that deeper travel range, and that's exactly what this DS-2 front shock is built for. Running a shock sized for a mild drop on a 4"-5" setup means you'll either top out constantly or lose most of your usable travel, both of which wreck ride quality and control.
DS-2 shocks give you a twin-tube design with damping tuned for a lowered heavy-duty truck - controlled enough to keep body motion in check under load, compliant enough that your daily commute doesn't beat you up. Because this is specced for the deeper 4"-5" range specifically, it's correctly dimensioned for compressed and extended length at that ride height, unlike a generic shock that's just "close enough."
Bolts directly to factory mounting points (or the relocated points from your shock extenders/drop kit hardware) with no modification required. If you're building out a full deluxe kit on your C2500/C3500 and landing in this drop range, this is the shock that's actually matched to your geometry rather than an afterthought.
Pair with the correct DS-2 rear shock for your rear drop amount to keep the truck balanced front to rear. A mismatched shock setup - correct up front, wrong out back (or vice versa) - is one of the most common reasons a otherwise well-built dropped truck still rides rough, so don't skip matching both ends.
Simple direct-fit install with basic hand tools, typically 20-30 minutes per side. Built for daily-driver reliability, not a one-trip show setup - these are meant to be driven.
