For C2500 owners chasing a serious, frame-hugging rear stance, this Belltech axle flip kit relocates your axle from under the leaf springs to on top of them, delivering a full 6 inches of rear drop - far beyond what any shackle or hanger swap alone can achieve. This specific kit is dimensioned for Standard Cab, Short Bed, 2WD C2500 trucks built 1988-1998.

A flip kit is the go-to method once you're chasing drops beyond what de-arched springs and drop shackles can safely deliver, and it's the foundation most guys use before adding a rear frame C-notch for even more drop. Belltech's flip kit includes the correct axle mounting brackets, U-bolts, and hardware engineered specifically for the C2500's heavier leaf spring pack and axle housing versus a light-duty C1500 flip kit.

Because this repositions the axle relative to the frame, driveshaft angle changes significantly and needs to be addressed - a carrier bearing relocator or driveshaft shortening/re-angling is typically part of a flip kit install, so budget for that as part of the full job. This is a more involved installation than a simple spring or shackle swap and is best tackled by someone comfortable with drivetrain and suspension work, or by a shop experienced with lowered trucks.

Once installed, you'll need shocks valved for this drop range (see our DS-2 rear shocks) and should plan for a C-notch if your wheel and tire combination needs additional frame clearance at full compression. This is squarely in serious-build territory - the payoff is a dramatically lower stance that a spring-only approach simply can't achieve.

As always with a rear axle flip, check brake line length, parking brake cable routing, and driveshaft clearance thoroughly before driving, and get a proper alignment and pinion angle check once everything is torqued to spec.
