Belltech 5"-8" Drop Kit - 1988-2000 Chevy/GMC C3500

The C3500 version of our deepest complete drop package, this Belltech 5-8 inch kit is engineered for GM's heaviest-duty OBS pickup and combines front spindle and rear axle/spring components sized for the C3500's higher curb weight and payload rating into one system.

Front components use Belltech's drop spindle design to achieve correct steering geometry through the front portion of this range, while the rear combines de-arched leaf springs and drop hardware rated for the C3500's heavier spring pack to reach up to 8 inches of rear drop. Because C3500 leaf springs and axle housings are the stoutest in the OBS lineup, using a kit engineered specifically for this platform - rather than a lighter C2500 kit - matters for both fitment and long-term structural integrity.

Given the depth of this drop, plan for supporting modifications as part of the complete build: a rear frame C-notch is very likely necessary at the upper end of this range, plus a carrier bearing relocator or driveshaft work, and shocks and brake lines sized correctly for this ride height. This is a serious build project best handled by an experienced DIYer or a shop specializing in aggressive lowered heavy-duty trucks.

The result is a dramatic, frame-hugging stance on the biggest OBS pickup GM built - a genuinely impressive transformation that few bolt-on-adjacent solutions can match. Budget time and additional supporting parts for the complete install; this isn't a single-afternoon job.

A full front-end alignment and pinion angle check are required after install, along with careful inspection of all clearances at full suspension compression before the truck goes back on the road.
